I. Overview

Installed in the wheel-changing depot, the horizontal-wheel pressure detection equipment consists of a specially made steel beam and several sets of force-measuring plates. Once the bogie is pushed into the detection area, precise measurement of horizontal-wheel pressure can be achieved.

II. Key Functions

1. Display: shows pressure value, time, and abnormal-pressure alerts;

2. Temporary retention and processing of multiple measurement results;

3. Tare function: removes extraneous pressure. Taring before a test zeroes the display so the reading reflects only the horizontal-wheel pressure;

4. Calibration function: calibrates system accuracy and re-establishes the pressure–voltage relationship. At regular intervals, using weights or other calibration objects, the readings are verified and, if a large deviation appears, corrected via software;

5. Sampling-settings function;

6. Data management: the data save path and format can be configured;

7. Report-generation function.
